         Agronomy is important to not
only those who raise crops but also
to those who have grasslands too.
Interest areas include crops
management including corn,
small grains, and forages. Crop diagnostics,
 soil fertility and management, soil conservation,
water quality, waste management, and range
management. The Agronomy Educators for the
West 2 Field Education Unit are TJ Swan based in
Butte County and Bob Drown based in Perkins County.

Services Provided:

  • Agronomy advice via telephone and e-mail
  •  Identification of plant and insect samples
  • Field and pasture visits when necessary
  • Soil testing kits
  • Well water testing kits
  • Forage testing kits

Programs Offered:

  • Private Pesticide Applicators License Testing
  • Commercial Pesticide Applicators License Testing
