Extension Office

The Meade County Extension office serves the communities and citizens of Meade County. We help people improve their lives through providing information and educational outreach that use unbiased, science-based knowledge focused on issues and needs. The Cooperative Extension Service is the major educational outreach arm of South Dakota State University. 

Our in-office personnel have specialties in 4-H/youth development, livestock, and marketing farm business management. In addition, Meade County Extension utilizes the resources of the South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service, which helps us to provide expertise in areas such as horticulture, agronomy, family consumer sciences, and community innovation/leadership.
