Banner Display Coming to Sturgis

A South Dakota Fallen Heroes of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom display will arrive in western South Dakota this month.

Banner viewings in Sturgis are set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29 and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30. The Sturgis Armory on Main Street will host both.
Twenty-eight banners will be displayed in Rapid City, Hot Springs and Sturgis. The public may view them free of charge.
This program serves to honor, respect and memorialize South Dakotans who have sacrificed their lives protecting the nation’s freedom while serving in the Armed Forces during current conflicts.
