Horticulture is evident in home gardening, small acreage farming, urban forestry, nursery production, greenhouse production, landscaping and interiorscaping. 

Services offered:

• Horticultural advice via telephone, e-mail, and walk-in visits
• Inspection of plant and insect samples (insects must be in a sealed container) for identification and diagnosis
• Home visits when necessary to gather additional information about a specific horticultural problem
• Soil testing kits for SDSU Soil Testing Lab in Brookings
• SD Well water testing kits for SD Department of Health in Pierre
• SD Water quality testing for suitability for plant irrigation use

• Commercial Pesticide Applicators License Testing and Recertification
