Deputy Sheriff

Performs law enforcement duties for which the county is responsible; including enforcement of laws, prevention and suppression of crime and protection of the public in emergency situations. Skills include: Knowledge of civil and criminal codes of federal, state and county governments; use of firearms, crime control and equipment for emergency situations.

Within 12 months of hire; must be certified by the George S. Mickelson Criminal Justice Center.

Hours may include: days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Communications Operator

Full-time position responsible for answering all calls for emergency services and maintaining radio contact with the Sheriff’s Office, Police Department, Fire Department, Ambulance Services, and all other public entities relating to emergency services.
