Meade County Partners in Public Service

Sturgis, SD -  Volunteers are requested to assist County offices and staff with many daily functions of County government to include specialized projects and programs.

The Meade County ‘Partners in Public Service Program’ will augment County government services by providing a method to tap into the valuable resources of talent, creativity, experience, education and enthusiasm possessed by the citizens in our community.

Why Volunteer?

  •  Get involved in your local government.
  •  Get to know your government departments, staff and elected officials.
  •  Enhanced county operations via cooperation between citizens and county employees.
  •  Learn skills which may assist you in the private sector.

Volunteers do not replace County employees. Rather, their contributions of time, talent and skill-sets, complement and support our County departments, while enhancing services to the public.

“According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 64.5 million people volunteered through or for an organization at least once between September 2011and September 2012.”

Be part of our Team.  Contact the Meade County Commission Office for further information:
