MeadeGeo Training Classes - 3/1/13

Meade County Equalization & Planning will be holding an additional two training classes for the new MeadeGeo website on March 1st at 10:00 am and at 2:00 pm. Both of the training classes being held on February 20th are now full. If you are interested in attending, please contact us to reserve a spot for one of the March 1st classes at your earliest convenience. The class will run approximately 90 minutes and will be held in the glass conference room on the second level of the Erskine Office Building located at 1300 Sherman Street in Sturgis.

This new website is replacing Meade County's current Beacon mapping site. The Beacon site will no longer be available as of February 15, 2013.

Meade County Offices Closed on Monday 01/21/13

In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - Meade County Office Buildings will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2013.  We will open for business on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 @ 8:00 AM.

Galen Niederwerder Sworn In as County Commissioner

Sturgis, SD - The Meade County Commissioners unanimously nominated Galen Niederwerder to fill the vacancy of Commissioner District 1.  Niederwerder was sworn in Tuesday morning along with the current county coroner, Steve Barry.  Niederwerder succeeds Gary Cammack who was elected to the South Dakota Legislature.

Bob Bertolotto Sworn in as County Commissioner

Sturgis, SD - Bob Bertolotto was sworn in as Meade County Commissioner of District 2 in a private ceremony Wednesday.  Bertolotto won the District 2 seat by defeating Doreen Creed.

Public Interviews of Applicants for Meade County Commission District 1

Sturgis, SD - The Meade County Board of Commissioners will hold public interviews of District 1 Commissioner applicants at a special commission meeting on December 19, 2012 @ 9:00 am.  The public is encouraged to attend this open session meeting.  

District 1 Commissioner Applicants:
