A Special Election will be held on Tuesday, December 18th, 2018, in the following voting precincts in Meade County.
The election polls will be open from seven a.m. to seven p.m. mountain time on the day of the election.
The polling place in each precinct of the county is as follows:

NOTICE OF DEADLINE FOR VOTER REGISTRATION
WEST-CENTRAL MEADE COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT
Voter registration for the West-Central Meade County Fire District Election to be held on December 18th, 2018, will close on December 3rd, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. Failure to register by this date will cause forfeiture of voting rights for this election. If you are in doubt about whether you are registered, check the Voter Information Portal at www.sdsos.gov or call the county auditor at (605) 347-2360.
Registration may be completed during regular business hours at the county auditor's office, municipal finance office, secretary of state's office, and those locations which provide driver's licenses, SNAP, TANF, WIC, military recruitment, and assistance to the disabled as provided by the Department of Human Services. You may contact the county auditor to request a mail-in registration form or access a mail-in form at (www.sdsos.gov).

Public Hearing - Proposed Formation of the West - Central Meade County Ambulance District
NOTICE OF INFORMATION MEETING & HEARING ON RESOLUTION
FOR PROPOSED FORMATION OF THE WEST-CENTRAL
MEADE COUNTY AMBULANCE DISTRICT DISTRICT
An informational public meeting will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sturgis Community Center Theatre and a public hearing will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commission Room of the Erskine Administrative Building on said proposed West-Central Meade County Ambulance District Resolution.
PROPOSED WEST-CENTAL MEADE COUNTY AMBULANCE DISTRICT BOUNDARIES:
The boundaries of the area to be included within the proposed ambulance district are as follows (excluding the municipality of Sturgis but including the municipality of Buffalo Chip):
Beginning at the SW corner of Section 31, T4NR5E; proceeding North along the Meade County and Lawrence County boundary to the NW corner of Section 6, T7NR5E; proceeding East along the Meade County and Butte County boundary to the NE corner of Section 3, T7NR9E; proceeding South to the NE corner of Section 10, T5NR9E; proceeding East to the NE corner of Section 11, T5NR9E; proceeding South to the NE corner of Section 14, T5NR9E; proceeding East to the NE corner of Section 13, T5NR9E; proceeding South to the SE corner of Section 13, T4NR9E; proceeding West to the SE corner of Section 16, T4NR5E; proceeding South to the SE corner of Section 33, T4NR5E; proceeding West to the SW corner of Section 31, T4NR5E.
Notice is further given that any person, persons, or their attorney may appear at said scheduled public hearing and speak in favor of or present objections, if any objections there may be.
